To comply with money laundering and terrorism financing laws in Poland and the EU, as of 13 October 2019, companies and partnerships registered in Poland have a legal duty to additionally register in the Central Register of Beneficial Owners at the Ministry of Finance.
The deadline for entities that were registered in the registry of entrepreneurs (KRS) before 13 October 2019 is the 13 April 2020. Companies registered after the 13 October 2019 must register within seven days of being registered in the KRS.
Failure to register imposes serious sanctions and fines.
